Threaded Camera Solar Filters

Choose the filter size that matches the thread size printed on the front of your camera lens — look for the Ø symbol followed by a number in millimeters (for example, Ø67mm = choose 67mm). For threaded camera filters, use the marked lens thread size rather than measuring the outside diameter of the lens barrel.

Both options are front-mounted ND5 white-light solar filters designed to screw directly into standard camera-lens filter threads.

Helios Glass — durable optical-glass construction with Seymour Solar’s yellow-orange solar image. Choose Helios when durability and a rigid glass element are the priority.

Hyperion Thin Film — lightweight and lower cost, with a darker orange solar image. Choose Hyperion when weight and value are the priority.

Available thread sizes: 37mm through 95mm. Remove the lens hood before installation and mount the solar filter on the front of the lens so sunlight is filtered before entering the optics.
