Camera Lens Solar Filters

Seymour Solar’s ND5 white-light solar filters enable safe solar photography when mounted on the front (sun-facing) end of your camera lens. These filters are designed for front-mounted use only and must be securely installed and inspected before every session.

Choose by mount type: Threaded filters must match the Ø thread-size marking on the lens or lens cap exactly (for example, Ø77 mm). Slip-on filters are sized by the outside diameter (OD) of the front barrel—not the Ø thread marking. If a slip-on measurement falls between sizes, choose the next size up.

Best for: DSLR, mirrorless, and telephoto lenses used for white-light solar imaging
Use: Front-mounted only (never behind the lens or inside the optical path)

Reminder: Do not look through an optical viewfinder at the Sun unless a proper front-mounted solar filter is securely installed.
