Slip-On Telescope Solar Filters

Choose Seymour Solar's slip-on telescope solar filters for white-light solar observing and photography when properly fitted and used as directed. These finished filters fit over the front of a compatible telescope tube, placing the solar filter before the telescope's optics. No lens threads are required.

Choose Helios Glass for a rigid glass element or Hyperion Thin-Film for a lightweight alternative. Compare their handling and care in our Materials & Optics guide.

Measure the outside diameter of the front of your telescope where the filter will mount—not the telescope's aperture. Use our Solar Filter Sizing & Fit Guide to select a size whose published fit range includes your measurement.
