Slip-On Binocular Solar Filters

Seymour Solar's solar filters for binoculars are supplied as matched pairs, with one slip-on filter for each front objective barrel. Both filters must be securely fitted before white-light solar observing, and used as directed.

Choose a Helios Glass binocular filter kit for a rigid glass element or a Hyperion Thin-Film binocular filter kit for a lightweight alternative. The materials are offered on separate product pages; select your matched-pair size on the page for your chosen material.

Measure both objective barrels and confirm they have the same outside diameter—not just the lens aperture. Select the pair whose published fit range includes that measurement using our Sizing & Fit Guide. If the barrel diameters differ, contact Seymour Solar before ordering a standard matched pair.
