Spotting Scope Solar Filters
Seymour Solar’s ND5 white-light solar filters for spotting scopes are designed for front-mounted use on the objective end of compatible scopes. Proper sizing and secure installation are essential for safe solar viewing and imaging.
Sizing note: Slip-on spotting scope filters are selected by the outer diameter (OD) of the front barrel or objective housing (not any internal measurement). If you’re between sizes, choose the next size up.
- Best for: portable white-light solar viewing setups, outreach, and educational use
- Mounting: front-mounted only on the sun-facing end
