Our Camera solar filters are designed to protect your lens and capture stunning images of the sun. The sun image will be a yellow-orange color for optimal quality photos of sunspots, surface granulation, solar and annular eclipses, and planet transits. These filters come in two styles. The threaded filters screw into the optical end of your camera lens. The slip-on filters slide over the end of the camera lens. The slip-on filters are easily removed while filming a total eclipse. We have two types of filters to choose from. Helios Solar Glass® or a Hyperion Solar Film. Both options block out 99.999% of the sun's rays and are safe for photography when the viewfinder looks directly through the lens, like an SLR or DSLR camera. Both options come in various sizes to fit your lens.
**Camera solar filters should always be installed on the end of the lens closest to the sun. It should always be the first in line from the sun and in front of any telescope or camera lens. Do not use filters behind any eyepiece, finder, lens, or drop in holders behind the lens.**
